The d.school design thinking process is user-centered and prototype-driven.
As a participant in Design Thinking Workshop, you will learn how to combine creative and analytical approaches to problem solving through completing hands-on innovative challenges. You will walk away from the workshop with a strong understanding of the key tenets of design thinking, a process to drive innovation in your organization and improve product, service, and business design.
The design thinking process draws on methods from engineering and design, and combines them with ideas from the arts, tools from the social sciences, and insights from the business world.
Workshop attendees will learn by doing. Rather than being asked to solve a problem, design thinking will ask you to define what the problem is, then conduct rapid prototyping to gain stronger insights and uncover unexpected solutions.
Of critical importance to app developers, the workshop will help you leverage empathy in order to effectively design to solve real human needs.
